For the 4th of July we went backpacking to Shi Shi Beach and the Point of Arches, on the Washington coast. A thick fog enveloped in the morning, and began to dissipate around noon as the tide went out, showing more haystacks in the distance, which dot the coast around the point. This is one of my favorite spots to backpack in WA, the scenery and the wildlife are breathtaking! It's a long drive to get there, but a relatively flat ~4mi hike in.
