Eye candy, so much to look at and appreciate, the lighting is awesome and the colors pop. Yet quietly understated.. I really like it.

Behind The Lens

Location
This photo was taken at Kirkjufell (Iceland) on a clear bright autumn day, just a few minutes after dawn.
Time
I woke up very early that day and went by car from Reykjavík, in order to get the best light conditions. I guess I was quite lucky to have a bright day with some striped light clouds in the background and horizon.
Lighting
The light was beautiful that morning, so that it didn't require major adjustments.
Equipment
Canon EOS 80D + Canon EF-S 10-22mm + ND Filter (Don't remember which grade..) + Manfrotto be free tripod
Inspiration
I guess this is one of the most dreamed location for any photographer... No need to explain why I went to this beautiful unique place to get some captures.
Editing
No particular post-processing, except for adding some saturation and contrast, while giving a bit more light to the foreground, as it was a little too dark.
In my camera bag
I own a very standard equipment, like: Canon EOS 80D EF-S 10-22mm f3,5-4,5 USM EF 24-70mm f2.8L USM EF 70-200mm f4 IS USM Manfrotto Tripod Hoya Polarizer ND Filters (from 8x to 1000x)
Feedback
On my opinion, at least in Autumn, is to shot at the first light in the morning. The sun is right behind you and it gives the image the classic warm colors and mood of the early mornings. If you are lucky as I was to have some light clouds at the back of the mountain, better indeed... Personally, I'm not a big fan of shooting with the sun in front (Even though I've taken some good ones in that conditions) but, if you like that kind, you might go there at sunset to have the sun behind the mountain. But be prepared to take at least a couple of shots to mix up.
