Columbian black-tailed deer reside in the Pacific Northwest and Northern California regions. They forage for a wide variety of grasses, plants, shrubs, forbs and trees. Each season they have a different combination of vegetation. Bucks rut (mating season) in Fall, fawns are born in the Spring and weaned in the fall.
