More vivid and sharp
As the wind was dying down, the clump of orange glow on Mt. Ritter and the slivers of glow on Banner Peak grew brighter. And it felt like the mountains were growing bigger as the trees and rocks around the lake in the middle and foreground sunk in the dark. But, perception is such an illusion. Rather than what was simply unfolding before my eyes, what my mind wanted to see was beyond what I was expecting. They looked more vivid and sharp in spite of the fact that they were in the dark.
