The iconic Jeepney is one of Manila's common ways to get around. The Jeepney came to life when Filipinos started customising Jeeps left behind by the Americans during WWII. The backs of the jeeps were extended to fit more people and used as mass transportation. Till today, the Jeepneys still look a lot like they did back then and are still being produced as a means of public commute.
