Behind The Lens
Location
The photo was taken in the center of Brussels. The façade opens onto the popular wet street near the European district.Time
It was around 1 pm when I took this picture with a bright spring sun.Lighting
It was clear sky and full sun.Equipment
I took this photo from out of my hand with a NIKON D7500 and a 16-80 mm lens.Inspiration
An egg, windows from 28 countries and brightly colored carpets: the new EU building in Brussels. The two exterior facades are made of 3,750 recycled wooden windows from the 28 EU member states. 28, because at that time it was not yet clear that a brexit would be coming. It was Antiek Bouw - a company from Ypres - that collected the windows and contacted demolition firms from all over Europe.Editing
I always edit my photos with LR and use Serge Ramelli's presets as a starting point. In my camera bag
In my backpack I always carry my body NIKON D7500 and the lenses 16-80 mm F2.8, 70-300 mm F4.5 and 50 mm F1.8. And a tripod and an 80 mm lens ball. A Nikon D700 flash and difusers.Feedback
With this photo I really wanted to draw attention to how one could make a whole with so many different sizes of windows.
