Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in my son's backyard in Janesville, California. Mom was taking a break from her fawn who was pacing along the outside of the back fence. Although, she was keeping a close eye on it, and me. She stayed there for a couple hours, then they were both on their way.

Time

I think it was early evening, just as the sun was beginning to go behind the mountain.

Lighting

I was lucky enough to be at the right place at the right time.

Equipment

This was taken with an, inexpensive, Panasonic point and shoot camera.

Inspiration

I love being at my son's place. I've always got my phone and/or my little Panasonic point and shoot camera with me.

Editing

I did nothing to this photo. It was all luck.

In my camera bag

When I'm planning on doing photography, I have a Sony Alpha. I carry three lenses. general, midrange and telephoto to 300mm. This setup works for the novice photographer that I am. If I'm hiking, I generally carry the, much smaller and lighter, Panasonic point and shoot along with my iPhone.

Feedback

My only suggestion is to be in the right place at the right time and be patient.
