Turimetta Beach is always an interesting spot to photograph. This was an eventful morning as I wasn't sure I would even be able to take any photos. Heavy rain began to fall when I was about 5 minutes from my destination, and continued to pour up to about 30 minutes before sunrise. I was then able to get out of the car, grab my gear and quickly head down to the beach. Sadly the swell was considerably greater than predicted so I couldn't head out to northern headland which was my original plan. I decided to head to the south end of the beach, and with the ocean and time against me, I set up my camera a little bit further back and concentrated on some reflections. Unpredictability is one of the things I love about seascapes. You never really know what the conditions are going to throw at you until you're out there. It's up to you to adapt and think on the fly!
