Behind The Lens
Location
This photo was taken in my driveway at my home. If you look really closely behind the model you will see a white car parked on the street.Time
This photoshoot started originally during the day and led up to the night. This was during the evening in the summertime somewhere around 8 or 9 o'clock.Lighting
I was getting so many great shots with this mode during the day thatl I didn't want to stop. So it became night fall and the only lighting used in this shot believe it or not was the security light connected to my house that provides light for my driveway. With a slight adjustment to my camera settings to make sure the picture wasn't overexposed, this is the shot I came up with.Equipment
Canon EOS 70D, Canon 80mm 1.8 lens, Handheld.Inspiration
We were bouncing good vibes off of each other, so the amazing time we both had, showed up in the photo. There wasn't much inspiration that was conceived beforehand. All the inspiration came from those vibes as I was shooting.Editing
The only things done in post were very light, I just touched up the skin and corrected the exposure. I did not have to do a lot for this photo particularly. In my camera bag
I usually carry a Canon 70D and Tamron SP 85mm F/1.8 Prime Di VC USD as mentioned before. I have my Sigma 18-35mm F/1.8 Prime lens, a Canon 50mm F/1.8 STM Prime Lens, Canon 18-55mm F/3.5 lens, a Canon 55-250mm F/4 lens, a [pro]master wireless transmitter and receiver, for both my [pro]master TTL 200SL speedlight and [pro]master TTL Bounce Flash FL1, a bunch of AAA and AA batteries, 5 SD cards, wall charger and camera batteries, multiple variable ND filters for my lenses, lens cleaners, and last but not least my business cards.Feedback
If you are shooting with someone, make sure that you make them comfortable first and foremost. If they are uncomfortable, it will show up in the pictures. I also want to say a lot of people are not professional models, so they will definitely be uncomfortable in the beginning and start to loosen up towards the end of the shoot, so be prepared to shoot a longer time because the shots in the beginning may not be the best photos compared to the shots at the end. This photo is one of my end of day shots.
