Wow stunning gorgeous model brilliant shot

Behind The Lens

This photo was done in St Mary's Secret Garden in east London UK
The golden syrup was done late afternoon about 3pm on overcast summer day
I had a new camera and decided to book the garden and get a model to test my camera the light was perfect tht day it was overcast making the light nice and diffused. I found a good spot in the garden and it all fells into place.
This was shot with a Nikon d5200, 35mm lens
I was inspired by my new camera I wanted to try it out, get little bit of practice so i could get to know and understand my new camera more. Something I always do when I get new peace of gear. I always get familiar with my gear before taking it into the field.
No I didn't do much post processing just a bit of exposure adjustment
In my camera bag
As I am portrait photographer I always packed my trusty 85mm first if it's a place new to me and not sure of the size of where I'm going shoot make sure add my 50mm and 35mm. I also travel with 18-300mm with is my emergency len because it covers all 3 of the other. my nikon d5200/ d7000 a transmitter and three speed light + stands as I do a lot of off camera flash photography, with speed light it makes me feel more in control of the light. Using speed light a lot makes it necessary to have a light meter.
Practice and more practice and never stop practicing my mum always say to me practiced makes perfect and as we all know no one is perfect so this mean you should never stop practicing. learn about your gear the more you know about your gear the better you will be at using them. Think about the shot you want the composition use different angle to accomplish what you want don't just shoot from the same spot and shoot 50 photo and expect one to be good work the shot and make them all be good, be in control get what you want don't hope you can.
