I took this photo while hiking through Harpeth River State Park-Hidden Lake. The park is in Tennessee.Time

I thought that this was a unique flower and wanted to capture an image of it.Editing
The only post-processing that I did was to crop the image.In my camera bag
I have the NIkon D3200, Nikon 18-55 f/3.5-5.6, and a Nikon 55-200 f/4-5.6.Feedback
My advice is to capture images of what you like. Get as close as you can to fill the viewfinder and keep the subject in focus. Bracketing the shot is always a good idea.
