Once, the planet we inhabit now was a vast planet without water, life and a breathable atmosphere. We couldn't have lived on what we call 'earth' today. But with the arrival of what we named 'water' (up to today nobody knows where exactly it came from - most likely icy meteors from out of space collided with this planet and 'left' their melted ice behind) something evolved. Life as we know it began to evolve. The smallest cyanobacteria deep within the seas (in a time nothing had a name whatsoever) began to built our atmosphere (by a process that billions of years later will be named oxygenic photosynthesis).
Every single being on this planet owes its life to water and this bacteria. And the least thing we could do to honor that is being aware of it and start acting like our life depends on it. Because it does.
