I pack my bag for the specific shoot. I do bring a few spares (lens, Pocket Wizard but generally not a second camera body (my second camera body is leant out right now)).Feedback
Talk and plan with the model. Get her/his input. Try things and then review them to see if improvements can be made. And try again. Some models are good at dance, others better at other things. Work with them.
