Our morning game drive started at 5 am. The morning temperature was freezing. We entered the Chobe National Park in Botswana when the sun began to rise. As the temperatures began to climb up the animals woke up and were looking for water. Suddenly our guide spotted a lonely lioness, which enjoyed the morning sun in the grasslands.
Suddenly she started her morning routine at a small waterhole. Our car followed her on her way. At one point she laid down 50 meters away from the street. I took this picture and noticed that she is blind on her right eye. Maybe another lion or a resisting pray animal did this injury to her. When more and more cars showed up, the lioness decided to vanish in the vastness of Botswana's grassland.
