Location
This was fotographed in my studio back in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.Time
This was an evening shoot.Lighting
The lighting was done to enhance my use of chiaroscuro. I like to use shadows, of different intensities to create definition. You can easily see this in the the line of her spine.Equipment
This was fotographed on Ilford B&W Film using a 35mm Nikon FM camera, handheld. The lighting was Bowen studio lights with a 400 watt power pack.Inspiration
The inspiration came from the model as she was into a ‘little’ bondage.Editing
The negative was scanned on a Crossfield Drum Scanner...In my camera bag
When shooting digitally, I use a Nikon D750 these days. When shooting film, I prefer to use Leica CL Rangefinder with Rokker lenses.Feedback
To shoot in a similar manner you will not want to ‘over-light’ your subject and be sure to make separation, using lighting, between your subject and your background... Be sure you have a willing model who will listen to and take your direction.
