Behind The Lens

Location

Every year Disney World Epcot has a Flower &Garden event in the spring. It’s filled with all the colors of the spectrum. In my eyes, a fun photo opportunity.

Time

We arrived in the morning and was taking photos all but I believe this was taken in the morning but under the warm Florida sunshine.

Lighting

This particular flower was shaded from the sun so it softened the light.

Equipment

I use the Nikon D7200 and the Nikon micro 105. No other equipment.

Inspiration

I was on the hunt for certain flower opportunities and I did have this one in mind. Took several photos in different angles of this particular flower. Loved the find.

Editing

I did make a few minor adjustments in Lightroom but because I really have little knowledge of photo shop, just finding the oil painting technique thrilled me.

In my camera bag

At that time, my bag consisted of my Nikon D7200 with the micro 105mm 2.8f and 28-300, 3.5-5.6. Now I’ve added the 150-600 mm 1:5, 6.3.

Feedback

If you’re going to this type of event, then make a plan but be flexible. Opportunities to capture something wonderful are just around the corner.
