Location
I was in Washington DC with my best friend for a girls weekend, and we were walking to the White House. I happened to look down an alleyway near the the White House and got the perfect shot of the Washington Monument!Time
This was taken mid morning, probably around 10ish. I remember it was the beginning of April, so it was still kind of cool in the mornings and the chill in the air was just starting to burn off.Lighting

I really didn't realize what I had in this shot until after I took it. I saw the movement of the flags and the majesty of Washington Monument and I wanted to capture the overwhelming feeling of awe I was experiencing at being in DC for the first time, in the middle of all of the history.Editing
