An early autumn storm dusted the rocks and the larches with snow.

An afternoon hike on the Emmons Moraine Trail led to a secluded spot in Mt Rainier National Park. Not a soul was in sight.

Description

I backpacked in to Park Lakes (seen below) and hiked up to the Pacific Crest Trail to take this shot looking east. This is in the Alpine Lakes Wildern
