Huge Alaskan Grizzly who was transferred to a sanctuary in Montana due to his familiarity with people through improperly disposed trash. Too many close encounters, he was in line to be euthanized.
He lives a comfortable life in West Yellowstone, but he has a visible sadness. His face showed a great deal of resignation to his new life of low intensity entertainment for low brow tourists.
I begged him to let me see a glimpse of the Real Him, the Wild Him, Vibrant Him, Attentive Him.
He did a couple of times, it was a pleasure to see the power of fierce attention a few times.
