Fort "Emperor Alexander I" ("Plague") — one of the long-term fortifications included in the defense system Kronstadt. Located on a small artificial island South of the island of Kotlin. From 1899 to 1917 it was used as a laboratory for the study of plague. It looks like the famous Bayard Fort off the West coast of France, but the construction of which was completed later "Alexander I".
