Behind The Lens

Location
This photo was taken in the guest bathroom of our home, which is where all our new kittens spend their first week or so at our house until they've been thoroughly checked by the vet and have started getting used to being handled and "loved."
Time
As with most of my photos of kittens, I had to be patient and wait for the timing to be right for this shot. Gypsy and Jasmine had just had some canned kitten food and were settling in for a nap with their full bellies. As anyone who photographs pets knows, you have to take about 50 pictures to get one good one!
Lighting
I relied on the lighting from the bathroom fixtures, no flash, because I didn't want that "laser eye" effect.
Equipment
I actually took this photo with my Samsung Galaxy cell phone!
Inspiration
I thought the kittens were adorable and had been waiting for a chance to get a good "twins" picture of them.
Editing
I did very little post-processing, just a little adjusting of the light and a hint of a vignette filter.
In my camera bag
I always carry my CoolPix 500 and its various lenses and filters, a tripod, and also a small lens kit for my cell phone.
Feedback
Be patient and always have your phone or camera ready!
