My bag is actually a huge walk-in closet and I have mostly lights and light modifiers. I choose from many different lenses but my favorite is the Canon 50mm 1.4 and their 85mm 1.8Feedback
Look and listen to your subjects as if they were your dearest friends. Study them while you talk to them (about them) before you have them on the set. Then on set just talk to them. People will be more guarded on set if they feel you studying them there, so do that before hand.
