A Forster's tern fearlessly chases off a much bigger bald eagle who was probably after her eggs or chicks. This aerial battle lasted only a minute or so, and after flying sideways for a few seconds, it didn't take this eagle long to realize that he was not going to win this one. With their very pointed beaks, terns can inflict serious injury on would-be predators! Captured at the Ed Levin County Park near San Jose, CA
