In 2014 I attended a 50th anniversary celebration of the Ford Mustang. The event was help at the Motor Speedway outside of Las Vegas, Nevada. After finishing the Mustang celebrations I went into Las Vegas to see what adventures I could find. I discovered there was a Rock-a-Billy gathering at the Orleans Casino. I must admit, I found this event much more fun than the Mustangs at the Raceway. I plan to attend another Rock-a-Billy event with more time so I can enjoy all there is to see and do. I love old cars but I am not that guy who can identify them all. So if you know what this car is please share your knowledge with us.

Now that's a killer "Rat Rod", not to mention the other subject matter.
I believe this is a 1932 Ford Sedan given the shape of the windshield. With its severely chopped top and missing front body, it's hard to tell exactly though. 1932 was also the year Ford first introduced the V8 engine; although that's certainly not what is featured in this beast.
The term "rat rod" comes from basically building a "frankenstien" car out of any vintage car parts you can find and, throwing a fat engine in it. The paintwork is left as is and clear coated to preserve the dated feel.
Ford Model A's parts are particularly popular to start with, because over 4.8 million of these cars were produced between 1927 and 1931.
So... this could be anything, but it IS, DEFINITELY cool !
And... probably loud as hell.

Yeah, no mufflers. I bet you could hear it a mile away. There was a bunch of "Rat Rods" at the event. Some of them were definitely Frankenstein vehicles. You do know your cars for sure
