Behind The Lens

Location

Photo was taken at Berrinba Wetlands, about 15 mins driver from my home. It’s a reclaimed man-made lagoon which use to be a sand mining business. Where I go quiet often for a walk.

Time

The time was around 10:00 AM, I was watching the Pelicans flying and landing when I spotted this particular one which lookek like it was going to land in front of me. I managed to get the perfect shot at the perfect time.

Lighting

Being Mid Morning,The sun was high over the trees with some cloud cover.

Equipment

Photo was taken with OLYMPUS E-M5MarkII Aperture: f/8 ISO: 400 Shutter Speed: 1/1000 Focal Length: 300/1

Inspiration

I have always enjoyed photography birds as they are so unpredictable. I enjoy trying to get motion shots like this one and birds in flights.

Editing

Cropped the photo adjusted the exposure, contrast, and noise.

In my camera bag

Olympus em5 MKII M.Zuiko 45mm, 60mm Macro, 12-40mm and 75-300mm. Tripod, filters. Cable release, A Flash that is rarely used

Feedback

Patience is the key to birds in flight. It can take many shots to get the one that is the one you want.
