Many will recognize the place, we are in one of the most famous and, I dare say, the most enchanting of Iceland.
I am at the base of Kirkjuffell in a very special situation, with the snow and the frozen waterfall (Kirkjuffellfoss) !
This is the very first picture I've made since my arrival and it's exactly how I wanted it!

An incredibly fascinating, magical place, I would dare say fairytale, more than I thought!
Snow, sea, and that frozen waterfall, with the sound of water under the ice!

I've never seen so many stars!
The constellations could be seen perfectly and the Andromeda galaxy was very evident.
I waited for the right time to shoot by placing the milky way just where I wanted it and giving Andromeda time to come out to the right of kirkjuffell !
Meanwhile, the sky began to turn green in the right place at the right time, just to the left of Kirkjuffell by the queue to the Milky Way, while to the right, the pretty village of Grundarfjordur made head, contributing, with its dim warm lights, to gently illuminate a large part of the foreground.

One of the most magical nights I've ever lived, in one of the most amazing places I've ever seen!
