Location
The photo was taken in LaPalma in one of the villages on the North of the island.Time
It was around lunch time and my the sun was frying my bald head.Lighting
It was lunchtime sun without a single cloud in the sky.Equipment
I shot this with Canon 6d and a cheap sigma DG 70-300mm lens without any flashes or tripods.Inspiration
We had just arrived in Santo Domingo- LaPalma. Whilst wondering around silent cobble stone streets and looking at all the colourful buildings around us when I noticed this broken old door on what seemed to be the only abandoned building on the street that stuck out a bit and I thought i will give it a shot.Editing
I tend not to do too much post processing on my photos, on this one I just did some colour adjustments and increased clarity as well as lens profile correction. In my camera bag
Usually I have my Canon 6D, Rokinon 14mm f 2.8 lens, Sigma DG 70-300, Canon 50mm f1.8 and then the odd lens from the last century, depending on what is my plan I could have Helios 44-2 lens (If i have my old 600d with me) and Pentacon MC 135mm f2.8 lens. I also have some sensor and lens cleaning bits with me, an ND 10 filter, a polarising and a UV one. Also a must have is a Hahnel wireless remote for those night shots. For Night photos I generally have the Pentacon and Rokinon lens along with Star Tracker Adventurer in my bag which is one of the heaviest kits with the added weight of my Manfrotto 190 tripod that is usually atatched to the back of my camera bag. And always a torch or two.Feedback
