The Punakaiki Pancake Rocks are situated in Paparoa National Park north of Greymouth on the West Coast of South Island NZ. Having driven from Christchurch that morning across country and through Arthur's Pass we arrived at Greymouth for the night's stay. Checked in, unloaded our luggage then hit the road again. Wow, such a sight and well worth the drive to view and experience this limestone landscape! These rocks really do look like massive pancake stacks.
