Location
In my back gardenTime
Early evening.Lighting
I took this picture during the golden hour of light, I believe this lifted the image in quality.Equipment
Canon DSLR with a 20-200mm Zoom at 2.8 Aperture in order to blur the background and make the bird stand out.Inspiration
This bird had been following me around the garden for days, it had become quite tame and even took mealworms from my hand. I simply had to photograph it while it stood still and posed for me.Editing
I did very little post processing,I have my camera setting nags set to neutral, so I needed to enhance the colours slightly. In my camera bag
For this image I used a Canon DSLR and a canon L series zoom lens. The 70-200 2.8 with image stabilisation is without a doubt the most versatile lens I own, and it is ideal for photography such as this. If you attach a 1.4 or 2x converter to it it will be even more versatile, especially as the converters are both small and light.Feedback
