I love the mood of this. I would just crop the plant out in the bottom left corner. My eye goes right to that.

Behind The Lens

Location

Linden, California

Time

I woke up super early to get there for Sunrise to get this picture something like 5 a.m.

Lighting

All natural lighting

Equipment

I use my Nikon D 7100 with the 18 to 105 kit lens with no flash and handheld.

Inspiration

I saw something similar to this one morning driving to work and realized I needed to come here on my day off to capture what I had previously seen.

Editing

Just some basic editing like Shadows highlights a little bit of color balancing but other than that not much else.

In my camera bag

I have the kit lens for my Nikon and also a 50-millimeter prime and a few speedlights and some other miscellaneous items like filters and filter wrenches.

Feedback

Patience, patience and more patience. Don't think of one thought is good enough I almost left 10 minutes prior to the shot because I was happy with the image I had already taken.
