Disabled Veterans Winter Sports Clinic alternate activities; SCUBA

As a dive master, I am invited to provide assistance at the Disabled Veterans Winter Sports Clinic in Snowmass, Colorado. This event has been put on since the late 80's to give disabled veterans the experience of outdoor recreational activities such as skiing for the blind, and paralyzed veterans. One of the Alternate activities I help provide is SCUBA. This gives the freedom of movement that wheelchair bound individuals, amputees, and nerve damages individuals have been robbed of. It opens new possibilities for those who have lost their former activities, and encourages physical therapy in a weightless and freedom giving environment.
