Behind The Lens

Location

Near logan utah in a high altitude valley.

Time

This was sunset, around 8 pm in July.

Lighting

The sky was absolutely spectacular and was very lucky to get clouds to catch the light and compliment the scene.

Equipment

NIkon D810 - tamron 15-30 on a tripod

Inspiration

I really wanted a nice flowery foreground with those lonesome pines.

Editing

I added some vignette and contrast, boosted the shadows and slightly dropped the highlihgts but its pretty minimal on this one.

tamron 15 - 30 lens, tripod camera.

Feedback

It is always very frustrating to be out in nature and have bad weather or conditions. For this photo I was very much in the right place at the right time. I have returned the following year and the flowers where dry and dead so you really just need to try and try again.
