This is the 'entrance' to Santa Elena Canyon, where the Rio Grande comes through the Sierra Ponce due to an old, old earthquake way back when. It is hard to imagine the actual scale of such things, so pay attention to that kayak in the mid ground, knowing I'm using a relatively wide angled view, distorting things a bit. It does this for thirteen miles through solid rock.
