Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at the Little Darby peak in Willits, CA

Time

This was at about 3:30 pm

Lighting

The lighting in this image was exactly what I needed for this tpye of edit

Equipment

I used a mavic pro for the photo. For the edit I used an iPad pro running the Astropad app from my MacBook pro.

Inspiration

I had seen some aerial photo edits and wanted to take a shot at it. This was actually the first one I ever tried and I'm really hoping to do something much more elaborate for my next piece!

Editing

With the use of and iPad pro and the apple pen, I found I can use the clone stamp tool much more intuitively. That is essentially what I did here. Cloned in shadows and trees, very meticulously, from other areas of the photo.

In my camera bag

Sony A7RII/ FE 24-70mm GM, and a Mavic pro drone.
