Behind The Lens

Location

In front the airport of Sion, in the mountain to avoid the back light.

Time

In the afternoon at approximately 4 pm

Lighting

I wanted to fix the flow of the engine so I use a shutter speed of 1/2500s and to keep the light on the aircraft , I have +1/3 for exposition

Equipment

Canon Eos 7d mark II , 500mm f4, and recently the EOS-1Dx2

Inspiration

I want to captrure the scene , the aircraft in the landscape and not the aircraft in the blue sky. And I try to keep the move when I try to fix the flow .

Editing

I just use lightroom to put more colours and small correction on the light.

In my camera bag

I have one bag with the EOS-1Dx2, the 500mm f4, the TC1.4 and 28-75 mm 2.8 Tamron and the Canon 70-200 mm f4. In the second the EOS-1D Mark II plus 18-55 2.8 Tamron and Canon 100-400 mm. I mix the configuration it depends of the situation.

Feedback

I use shutter speed between 1/2500s to 1/3200s to fix the flow and the movement of the aircraft. I put +1/3 to 1 for exposition to keep a good light on the subject.
