The surrounding windows provided the soft light and a reflector was also used and portable flash with diffuser .Equipment
The camera was Nikon using Ilford FP4 tripod mounted.Inspiration
I wanted typical Russian looking faces and although we had different languages it was an easy shot to take as she was so natural.Editing
I developed the negative and made prints until i was happy with the results. This was pre-digital.In my camera bag
A standard lens and a mid range zoom. A remote shutter release, lens hoods, charger , spare battery. A tripod is usually carried for landscapes and studio shots.Feedback
i try to keep things simple so if doing portraits i use a portable flash with remotes. I always shoot raw nowadays. Photoshop is now used for post processing.
