Jacko is a female Sulphur-crested cockatoo who resides at Billabong Sanctuary here in North Queensland. Here she is seen stripping leaves from branches, a common activity when not feeding. These birds are prolific here, as I drive to and from work they can be seen by the side of the road eating grass seeds. They are loud with a raucous screech and very cheeky!

They are raucous because they know you will hear them, stop and feed them seeds. Jacko is smart, Sal. Great photo x
