I was heading to Japan in December a few years ago and thought that I might be able to photograph Mount Figi with the Geminid Meteors. After about a month of planning, flying to the other side of the planet from North America and 2 days of driving around to find a dark sky location around Fuji San, I found this spot. I set up the camera the night that the Geminid meteor's were peaking and crossed my figures my time lapse would catch a winner. Then I went to sleep in the car beside my tripod as the time lapse sequence did it's work. After 4 hours, 2 full cards and hundreds of photographs I went home. This was the only photograph that turned out, but it was a winner!
