Location
I took this photo in local photostudio, I loved the interior so much. I needed to create the atmosphere of hot day in some mexican house, so I chose this studio for natural colors, and some furniture that didn't look very modern or pretentios.Time
It was winter (February), so sunset was early, and I took this photoshoot at about 5 p.m.Lighting
Just sunlight. It allowed me to create an atmosphere of a hot sunny evening, although it was cold outside.Equipment
I have Nikon D7200 and 50 1,4 lense. With this set I only could make portraits, but it was no problem, because there was much space so I could make a full-height portrait. I didn't need a wider angle, because a lot of unsuitable things of interior would be captured.Inspiration
The great artist Frida Kahlo inspired me. Very gifted, deep and also stylish woman with a strong character and hard life. Despite of all the troubles she always loved life, and never gave up.Editing
It was of course work with color, I made a photo color-balaced and warm. It was almost no skin retouch, because I wanted it to look more realistic. In my camera bag
I always have Nikon D7200, 50 1,4 lense and 17-50 2,8 lense. I also have a flash, but I use it mostly for reportage. I also like some shiny or sparkling stuff, like crystals, prisms to make bokeh or some other interesting effects.Feedback
It is quite a simple shot. All you need is to find a model, who fits in your idea and to find suitable clothes and location. If you want to embody your idea, do it! Have no fear or doubts. And don't listen to those who tell you that it's stupid and is a waste of time and money. I do not have technical advice about my photo, because it is really simple, I just want to say that you have to challenge yourself again and again to make a good photo. I may take some time, but in the end you wouldn't regret it!
