I was hiking in Mercantour National park with friend.Time
It was fall, day short, so we were looking for good place for tent. But it was no possibility. only rocks, no water. And then few minutes after sunset we so this view. It was no time, I should be running down to look for any bivouack places. But I could not. So I set my tripod and I took 2 photographs. Finally we were going down in the darkness, but I was happy.Lighting
Usually after sunset there is nothing interesting on the sky, but sometimes it is worth to wait, to catch the rest of the sun lighting clouds from the botomn.Equipment
I had old canon 5D and cheap lens Canon 28-135, a bit broken, so corners of the picture are not sharp (I croped it). I also had broken tripod.Inspiration
Every photographer would stop to take this photo, it was so beautifull spectacle.Editing
I do little posprocessing, just RAW conversion in Lightroom. Here I made lighter parts of the picture darkes and dark parts lighter to reduce contrast.In my camera bag

Hiking in fall is harder, nights are cold and days short but it is impossible to miss sunset and sunrise.
