At first, I had a hard time posing myself and not being blocked by shadows, but in the end, using the available light from the ceiling fixture is what helped the style.Equipment
I used my Samsung Galaxy 8+. It feels a little like I was cheating on my Canon 7D but it's much better for on the fly inspiration and still has great quality.Inspiration
I love this photo because it's trashy and classy. I had been wanting to try out some boudoir and late one evening broke down specific elements that attracted me to the style. To me, boudoir is so much more than just a sexy photo of a person in lingerie. There is a sense of intimacy. You usually have a person who is nude or nearly nude, and I wanted to capture more than just sexy so I had to think about different parts of the body versus the obvious contenders. The neckline, to me, is the epitome of a 'classic' sexiness, it has that retro/ Marilyn-Kennedy kind of class.Editing
I used Lightroom to edit. I went with a matte finish to give it that dreamy vibe. I love the look of the matte, without it, I don't think it would have the same feeling.In my camera bag
I always have my 7D ready to go. My 'ICE' bag has my Canon 50mm, 18-55mm, and a 75-300mm, fold up bounce, a ring light, lens wipes, a notebook and a pen and lighter.Feedback
