This photo was prepared for the lesson at the course "Classic Portrait". For her, I got an excellent mark.Time
Such a photo can be done at any time of the day, you need to put a background for the model, several flashes and close the windows from daylight.Lighting
To create a series of photografies with the model, artificial lighting was used. One flash is aimed at the gray background, the second flash - to the left of the model gives a drawing light, and on the right there is a white background for filling the shadows.Equipment
NIKON D5000, Nikkor 18-55, tripod, Light kit Elinchrom D-Lite RX-4 400/400 SoftBoxInspiration
I was very lucky with the model, because the man was very active and emotional. He easily reincarnated. I just gave commands how to turn around and what to do. It was easy to come up with new perspectives. I liked one of the pictures very much. And now it is represented here. The man forgot for a while that he was in front of the lens and an idea unknown to him flashed through his eyes))) I just had to watch out for this moment.Editing
Photo processing: face retouching, the choice of the color tone of the whole image, a slight color correction of the coat, contrast, brush strokes on the background. In my camera bag
Usually I wear a heavy backpack, it contains all the essentials. This is my permanent Nikon D610, three lenses 14, 24-70 and 70-300. There are gradient and gray filters of different density. They are needed for shooting water and for darkening the sky. I also carry a set for cleaning lenses and matrix, there is always a spare battery, several flash drives of different volume, and some other little things that I always forget about)))Feedback
I want to wish those photographers who want to shoot people to study the course of the classical portrait. There you will find out what kinds of coverage there are, how they emphasize the character of a person. After you learn to see and install artificial lighting, you can find the right light on the street. And also you can move from the classic portrait to the modern one. New opportunities will open before you, but you have to learn for this. I wish everyone good luck on the creative path!
