Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken during a Roadtrip, from Quebec to Miami, passing by Chicago. This photo was the first Sunset i saw in miami Beach

Time

A golden hour sunset.

Lighting

Sunset and sunrise are the best moment of the day to take landscape photos.

Equipment

I use a canon EOS 6D with 21mm lens Zeiss on a tripod, i also use a remote when my camera is on tripod

Inspiration

I was traveling so everything was source of inspiration, Imagine, it is the first time you go into a city that you know by name since you are a child because of movies, books or whatever. And when you go there, you are welcomed by a sunset like that. This is the feeling i wanted to put in this frame.

Editing

Just a little white balance, I don't like misrepresent what i saw.

In my camera bag

I always have my 6D with at least 3 lens, one wide angle, one Normal and one telephoto. A tripod that can fit in my bag. One polarizer filter and one neutral density filter. it can be heavy but worth it.

Feedback

In my opinion, taking great photography while traveling is hard. In photography, you need to be patient. But when you are traveling, you can't stay two or three hours at the same spot to have the best light, i think it is a waste of time while traveling to do that. You need to be lucky about the weather, you need to guess what will be the best spot for enjoying the sunset, and you need to enjoy your holidays
