Ostia Antica is an ancient Roman Colonial City in Rome. It's incredible! You can walk trough the original city that reached 75.000 inhabitants.Ostia itself was provided with all the services required and also a lighthouse and a theater. Theater still in use today. Ostia contained the Ostia Synagogue, the earliest synagogue yet identified in Europe. Archaeologists also discovered the public latrinas, organized for collective use as a series of seats that allow us to imagine today that the function was also a social moment. In addition, Ostia had a large theatre, many public baths, numerous taverns and inns, and a firefighting service.Eighteen mithraea had also been discovered: Mithras had his largest following among the working population that were the majority of this port town.Mithras Temple is the right place to put your tripod down and start to shoot to your "divine" model. This one is in a cave under the ground. A hole in the top provide mystic light to the statue of this forgotten divinity. We have nothing to teach to architect of the history about the light.
We can learn a lot!
