Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in my studio during a model test shoot.

Time

It was in the early afternoon... I’m not much of a morning person and hold a strong belief that I can make any kind of light work for me. So any time of day will do.

Lighting

Natural light is definitely an all time favorite.

Equipment

I’ve used my Nikon D750 on this shit with a sigma art 85mm lens (love it!) Also an assistant was used to make some wind with a reflector...

Inspiration

I like working with new talented (young) people and creating beautiful images.

Editing

I sure do! My standard flow will start in Lightroom, correcting exposure if needed, play with curves a bit. Then I will go into photoshop with my standard 3 step process; clean up - d & b - color toning

In my camera bag

Not much; camera, few lenses, extra batteries, laptop

Feedback

Just experiment! Even with natural light coming through a window there’s lots of room to play with. Use some wind (movement in a photo, makes it more interesting) and choose your colors wisely.
