dad was thrilled to bring me along with him for the first time together. Me-till jet lagged vaguely knew where we were heading, within minutes he drove down a tiny dirt road that lead to fairly big lake in southern N.J. He was bursting w- joy since it’d only been about it 1,000x since he first found it. A hidden lake located minutes away - and in South Jersey - everything is so densely populated, hearing about areas like this is extremely rare. 45+ yrs of him scouring the state, this lake still remained undetected. Completely unscathed from noise pollution, trash, power lines(i.g., any human impact) one could easily believe they were kayaking just about anywhere so void of civilization or at a remote location hours away. It was the most beautiful morning sharing that time with my dad.
