This a Giant Kingfisher. The largest Kingfisher in Africa! To shoot this picture I had to hold the camera focused somewhere in its projected path for quite a while. I had set the camera to burst mode and couldn't do much more than to cross my fingers (mentally though ;-) ). After about 10 minutes I noticed the Kingfisher was getting ready to dive for a fish. I knew my timing would essential. The bird flew, and I pressed the button while I couldn't even see the bird through the lens! I was so happy (and lucky) with one of the end results!!
