Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in a random forest area with no real special features, we just wandered through looking for interesting spots!

Time

We took this shot in the early evening. Have to love those long summer days in Alberta!

Lighting

I used a sped light with a small light modifier just to try and fill any shadows!

Equipment

This was shot hand held I believe on my Nikon 810 with an SB910 speedlight.

Inspiration

This session was inspired by the dress which the model Sunray Susie, created!

Editing

I did some colour correction on her skin and tweaked the greens for a more muted look using Lightroom.

In my camera bag

Usually my 810 and at least two or three primes and maybe something extra like a crystal ball or s smoke grenade!

Feedback

Just go out and shoot! I am self taught and you just have to keep shooting and trying to hone your skills!
