Having stood through for a few hundred years and having been built to appear to have stood for even longer, the Keele Estate is a marvel of British arrogance. The hall boasts features reminiscent of an Italian facade situated in front of which is a garden containing topiaries, a fountain and hundreds of acres of woodlands, filled with eight lakes and multitudes of species of wildlife. Now part of Keele University's Campus, the estate is a renowned place of great beauty cherished by past and present staff and students, as well as remnants of its once owners, the Sneyd Family.
