A typical pair of Wedge Tailed Eagles feeding a young chick a small lizard. These Eagles normally have two chicks but the competion for food is so great that the dominant chick will push the weaker chick from the nest to gain all the food. As the chick grows it will require a lot more food so the parent Eagles will start bringing in larger food such as small roo,s, pigs etc. Image taken in Central Australia.
